The NDSU Agricultural Data Analytics is a unit dedicated to delivering innovative solutions and driving digital transformation in agriculture domain. We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to lead the development of tools and technologies in the UAS and robotics imaging space, as well as working with other agricultural technologies. This role focuses on developing and optimizing software solutions for processing and analyzing imaging data collected by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), robots and sensors in agricultural settings. The successful candidate will work on cutting-edge technologies to enhance research and development of products that can support analytical and data-driven decisions for our users.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors’ degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineer or related field.
Proven experience in software development with a strong portfolio of projects.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C#, or JavaScript.
Experience with image processing, machine learning, and data analytical tools and GIS libraries.
Familiarity with UAV, robotic and sensor technology and its applications in agriculture is highly desirable.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Hands-on experience operating drones.
Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Experience with GIS and remote sensing technologies.
Knowledge of agricultural practices and challenges.
Familiarity with cloud computing services and database management.
Enjoy a creative and dynamic work environment that encourages innovation and professional growth.
Advertised Salary:

$80,000+, commensurate with experience.
