Job Description

Summary

Patient Business Services is seeking a Patient Insurance Specialist II to assist with financially clearing patients for upcoming scheduled services.

Job Duties

Investigates and verifies insurance coverage and eligibility for scheduled services.
Creates and collects patient out of pocket estimates.
Financial clears office visits that may involve minor procedures for specialist services.
Contact external PCP offices to initiate and secure insurance PCP referral approvals for Baylor specialists
Obtains insurance PCP referral approvals on behalf of Baylor PCP's
Answers Insurance Verification Helpline calls and emails to resolve insurance questions from patients and clinical departments
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Corresponds with insurance companies to review denied services and provides recourse for payment.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
One year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Epic.
Multi-Specialty insurance verification experience.
Pre-service verification experience.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
