Job Summary

This position is relied upon to provide a student-focused customer service approach and an understanding of processing and systems. Their primary focus will center on processing applications, admission requirements, and document imaging work - scanning, imaging, and indexing. This position also provides general data entry support in the student information system and assist in other areas during peak times, such as, but not limited to decisions, residency, transfer catalog, transcript evaluation, etc.

Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

APPLICATIONS: Process applications for all incoming students from multiple systems. Responsible for data entry into student information system as well as updating and maintaining all student information in appropriate university systems (Banner).

DOCUMENTS: Data entry and scanning of documents into Banner and Xtender respectively.

DUTIES: Contributes to the overall success of the department by performing other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

STUDENT FILES: Maintain student files by managing flow of new documents, tracking transcripts, and updating checklists for all applicants and students.

REPORTS: Run reports to perform quality control checks on data entry as needed to check files and/or databases for data accuracy and completeness of files.

OTHER DUTIES: Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High School diploma, GED, or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization combined with a minimum of one year of customer services, clerical, or related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in BANNER, Xtender, Slate, Reporting Systems, transfer articulation or other student information systems
Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

KNOWLEDGE

Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/ databases.

Operation of a personal computer, photocopier equipment, imaging scanner, and standard office machines

SKILLS

Attention to detail in collecting and assembling printed or copied materials such as reports, bulletins, and articles, and delivering finished materials.

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

ABILITIES

Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively.

Shift/Salary/Benefits

Shift: Days/ Monday-Friday

Pay Band: B2

Salary: $15.77/hourly - $16.91/hourly

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
