Posting Context Statement
The Program Coordinator reports to the Chief Diversity Officer and Executive Director of Tribal Relations.
Position Overview
This position is responsible for providing day-to-day operations support to team members throughout the planning, implementation and delivery of programs, and may serve as first point of contact for the unit.
Duties may include:
Serving as primary contact with program participants, customer service and office support functions
Facilitating communicating between program participants and managerial staff
Coordinating arrangements for the program such as meetings, conferences and banquets
Collecting, compiling and summarizing program data and managing records
Maintaining program calendars and schedules
May utilize University programs to create, review and approval financial documents, and to provide routine financial reports to the program administrator
Other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications
Required Experience
Three years performing administrative, office and/or program support functions
Composing, proofing and editing a variety of documents, using proper grammar and punctuation as demonstrated in application materials
Using computer software and applications for word processing, developing spreadsheets, email and internet research
Required Education
Bachelors Degree
Required Other

Additional Preferred
Masters Degree
Experience:
Program development and implementation in an academic environment;
Using centralized computer systems (such as financial) while completing administrative tasks
Independently solving problems and performing liaison activities in a work setting and coordinating activities requiring complex arrangements
Grant writing and compliance
Tribal cultural protocols
Native American education policies
Regional Tribal infrastructure, cultures, and federal and Tribal sovereignty issues
