Job Description

Summary of Position
The Administrative Assistant for Fieldwork provides efficient and professional administrative support to the full time Academic Fieldwork Coordinator. Specific responsibilities include
Maintaining and monitoring the fieldwork database including student data, site data, placement data, required documents and evaluations
Monitor contractual agreements with fieldwork sites and facilitate new contracts with fieldwork sites as needed
Foster relationships with fieldwork sites to provide Level I and Level II fieldwork experiences for students in traditional and emerging practice areas, in support of the academic fieldwork coordinator
Maintain records of all student fieldwork experiences, community placements, and experiential learning opportunities in courses and during the OT Program
Maintain records for the fieldwork sites and clinical educators
Maintain good communication between students, fieldwork sites, academic fieldwork coordinator, and other occupational therapy faculty as it pertains to the job
Support and strengthen relationships with alumni, community agencies, and practitioners
Acceptable minimum level of education HS or equivalent
Acceptable minimum years of experience 1 year

A minimum of high school graduation, but a bachelors degree is preferred; Microsoft Office skills and computer skills needed to manage online database, administrative writing skills, professionalism, problem solving, effective communication skills, ability to work in fast paced environment, strong organizational skills, planning and time management skills
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Work experience in college/university environment.
Bachelors degree and/or additional related training or education.
Experience with databases
