Position Summary

City of Hope Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Outpatient Clinical Nurse to join our 2C Clinic team. The 2C Clinic specializes in the care of patients with Sarcoma (Medical Oncology and Surgery), Neuro-Medical Oncology and Neurosurgery, Melanoma, Orthopedic Surgery, Dermatology, and various Medical Specialties, including Gastroenterology. The clinic primarily performs dermatology procedures and Mohs surgical procedures. This opportunity is for full-time, 8-hour shifts (5 shifts per week), and is designated for the day shift(8:30am start time).

Up to $20,000 Sign-on Bonus Available!

As a successful candidate, you will:

Patient Care:

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with complex medical conditions.
  • Perform dermatology procedures, including Mohs surgical procedures, ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and monitor patient progress.
  • Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment options, and post-procedure care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals, to optimize patient outcomes.

Clinical Skills:

  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed.
  • Assist with minor surgical procedures and provide pre- and post-operative care.
  • Utilize advanced clinical skills to manage complex patient needs in outpatient settings.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for patients, families, and caregivers, ensuring clear and compassionate communication.
  • Coordinate patient care activities, including scheduling appointments, follow-ups, and referrals.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.
Your qualifications should include:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree in Nursing is required
  • Current California RN license
  • Minimum of three (3) years related experience
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR Card

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $57.55 - $83.45 / hour
