Job Description
The Department of Finance and Insurance offers a full-time Assistant Lecturer/Assistant Teaching Professor position starting January 2025. The candidate could teach a combination of courses in Finance, Real Estate, Risk Management, insurance, and Law. In addition to teaching, the role involves participation in professional and university service activities and scholarship.
We highly value relevant professional experience in finance, insurance, real estate, or law as it brings a practical perspective to the classroom and enhances the learning experience for our students.
1. Teaching load:
The teaching load is 12 hours/week each semester (fall and spring) on campus. Some courses may be delivered online or in a hybrid format. Six office hours are expected per week.
2. Professional Activity and Scholarship:
Maintain currency in business law by engaging in the required professional activities and scholarship for a faculty qualification (accreditation) status.
3. Service:
The candidate will serve on committees, participate in student advising and community outreach, and contribute professional service to the university.

Minimum Experience:
MBA or related degree from an accredited college or university.
Preferred Experience:
Relevant professional experience in finance, insurance, real estate, or business law.
