Summary

The Department of Otolaryngology is in seek of a Research Coordinator, level 1.   The department of Otolaryngology located within the largest medical center globally, provides:

The candidate will assist research team with patients/study subjects' day-to-day coordination.

Job Duties

Interviews, screen and recruits patients for study; explains process and procedures to educate participant regarding the research study.
May correspond with patient throughout study.
Collects, processes, ships, and maintains paperwork for blood and/or biological specimens according to procedures outlined in study protocol.
Collects patient information; processes documents and enters information into a database. May perform Venipuncture (blood draws), EKGs/ECGs and obtain vital signs on study participants.
Maintains records and regulatory documents for research studies.
Schedules research participant for tests and procedures such as laboratory tests, x-rays, and other studies specific for the research protocol.
Retrieves and submits test results to appropriate party.
Follows standard operating procedures as detailed in each study's Manual of Operations.
Orders supplies and equipment.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Three years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field. No experience required with bachelor's degree.
  • Medical Degree preferred but not required.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
