Summary

A postdoc is being recruited to the Bouchier-Hayes lab to study inflammation in sickle cell disease as part of an R01 funded project. The project involves investigating the inflammasome and inflammatory caspase pathways and how they are activated.

Job Duties

  • Leads the project investigating the role of caspase-4 in inflammation in sickle cell disease.
  • Mentors graduate and undergraduate students contributing to the project.
  • Presents work at local, national and international meetings.
  • Writes and edits manuscripts

Minimum Qualifications

  • MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
  • No experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • The candidates will need to be able to work in a team environment.
