Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for an Education Abroad Coordinator. The Education Abroad Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and advising students going on education abroad programs. The EA Coordinator is the primary contact for students who are interested in education abroad. The EA Coordinator works with programs at the university and across the state in order to give the greatest variety of opportunities to UNG students. The EA Coordinator will be responsible working within a team to manage a diverse program portfolio including faculty-led programs, exchanges, consortia, and providers. The EA coordinator will be the lead for the education abroad course approvals, transcript evaluation, and work with the Associate Director to advance curriculum integration and academic alignment of Education Abroad programs at UNG. Some evening and weekend hours required.

Advises undergraduate students regarding education abroad including faculty-led, direct enrollment, exchanges, internships, and provider programs; Advises students on pre-departure information and logistics of education abroad programs; Act as the primary resource for students about education abroad programs on campus. Manage student applications and data in TerraDotta. Process students participating in education abroad programs.
Manages credit equivalencies and transfer of student classes abroad; Supervise banner registration processes related to Education Abroad, including training staff; Lead transcript evaluations and process grade changes for all education abroad students; Serve in selection panels for Study Abroad Scholarships.
Coordinate education abroad information forums; Manage the marketing of education abroad to the campus, utilize social media to market departmental programs and initiatives; Coordinate and conduct education abroad workshops; Assist in the coordination of international education week; Manage updates in Terra Dotta related to a specific program portfolio; Conduct presentations to classes about study abroad programs on campus.
Works with faculty led study abroad programs. Assist study abroad program directors with financial management, insurance issues, and risk management issues.
Other job related duties as assigned, including airport shuttles.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Excellent working knowledge of MS Office and other computer software.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
Predisposition to work as a team member in a dynamic and flexible environment.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required.
Three (3) years of experience in office administration or higher education setting required (international office, student support services, advising, financial aid, registrar, orientation, residence life, peer mentor/tutor, etc.);
Or a combination of education and experience.
Valid Class "C" Driver's License required.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree preferred.
