Position Highlights

The National Tradeshow and Events Manager will oversee and execute Moffitt industry conferences and events, strategy and logistics.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Oversee and execute Industry Conferences that Moffitt participates in.

 

  • Budget for the annual Conference Expenses.

 

  • Supervises team of attendees and vendors associated with Conferences and events.

 

  • Vendor relationships associated with conferences.

 

  • Manage logistics and timelines for conference deliverables.

 

  • Coordinate with MMG and Leadership to align all conference efforts.

 

Credentials and Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Event Planning, Marketing, Business other related degrees will be considered.

 

  • 5 years managing complex, high-leverage high-profile events or trade shows involving senior management with a track record of successful event planning and execution.

 

  • 2 years of supervisory or project lead experience in event and/or conference strategy, development and execution.

 

  • Microsoft Office; Event platform or equivalent event planning software; budget planning and execution.

 

 

Preferred Experience:

 

  • Successful track record of influencing and building consensus with cross-functional teams, stake holders and partners.

 

  • Knowledge of Oncology, Research or Healthcare industry tactics, best practices, and emerging practices.

 

  • Detail-oriented mindset, ensuring accuracy and quality in all event planning and execution.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate risks, adapt to unexpected situations, and find innovative solutions.

 

  • Budget management skills, with the ability to create, communicate and adhere to event budgets.

 

  • Ability to work under pressure and remain composed in high-stress situations.

 

  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing event needs and last-minute adjustments.

 

  • Knowledge of event production, audiovisual equipment, and technical requirements is desirable.

 

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including ability to present and effectively interact with all levels including executive leadership.
