We have a great opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse who's seeking a per diem role in our brand new outpatient infusion clinic in Huntington Beach. The nurse plays a crucial role in providing specialized care to our patients in the outpatient chemotherapy infusion clinic.Your primary responsibility is to deliver comprehensive nursing care to the patients while assisting them through their treatment journey offering emotional support and education.The nurses at City of Hope play a vital role in improving the quality of life for cancer patients by providing expert care, support, and education throughout their cancer journey.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Assessing patients’ health status
  • Developing and implementing care plans
  • Administering chemotherapy and other medications, monitoring patents’ vital signs and symptoms
  • Providing education and support to patients and their families and coordinating care and follow-up appointments. Help with managing side effects and complications from their cancer treatment.Involved in quality improvement initiatives, and patient education programs specific to cancer care.

Your qualifications should include:

  • Graduate from nursing school with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or graduate from a nursing school with a diploma, Associate degree in Nursing and currently enrolled in a BSN program. ( Must obtain BSN within two years of hire or transfer)
  • 1-3 years experience in an acute care setting and/or outpatient setting.
  • Current California Registered Nurse license
  • BLS from American Heart Association
  • ONS certification
  • Oncology, Hematology or BMT experience highly preferred.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $72.61 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
