Description

The Director for Finance and Administration, College of Professional Studies (CPS) serves as a member of the college’s leadership team supporting a diverse portfolio of online academic and continuing education programs. This position requires financial management and budget development expertise; administrative leadership and management experience; and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

The Director is responsible for overseeing the planning, preparation, and execution of all budgets produced within CPS. More specifically, this position is responsible for revenue forecasting, pro forma development, faculty and vendor contracting, financial compliance, and human resource administration. The Director provides signature authority and oversight of all accounts within CPS and is accountable for the financial accuracy of the college. Additionally, the Director serves as the Dean’s primary liaison to the Office of the University VP of Finance and Administration and Office of Human Resources.

Annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $105,000 based on experience and qualifications.

This position is hybrid with the expectation of being in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Responsibilities

Financial/Budgetary

• Oversee the planning, preparation and execution of all budgets produced within CPS.
• Serve as the primary liaison to the Office of the UNE VP of Finance and Administration.
• Provide input to the Office of the UNE VP of Finance and Administration in the preparation and execution of the institutional budget.
• Serve as the primary financial and budgetary resource to all CPS academic and operations departments.
• Responsible for the reconciliation of all college wide expenses to the approved annual budget.
• Provides quarterly reports to the CPS Leadership Team regarding revenue and enrollment outcomes.
• Manages financial, faculty, and adjunct faculty contracts in alignment with budgetary expectations.
• Communicates financial and budgetary goals and results to CPS community and UNE stakeholders.
• Manages college-wide vendor and faculty contracts.
• Provide signature authority and oversight to all accounts within CPS.

Administrative

• Serve as the primary CPS liaison to UNE Human Resource Team regarding faculty/professional staff recruitment and associated paperwork, training, and performance evaluation processes.
• Develop and maintain the Human Resource policies and procedures necessary to effectively administer CPS.
• Ensures that all CPS departments are in administrative alignment with Dean and Dean’s Leadership team expectations.

Strategic

• Provide financial and administrative support to the development, implementation, and evaluation of the CPS strategic plan.
Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred and/or equivalent experience, training, and certification.
• Familiarity with accounting practices.
• Excellent communication skills and strong computer software skills.
• 5-7 years of experience in budgeting, administration or accounting or equivalent experience.
• Higher education experience preferred.
