Prescott College, founded in 1966, has over a half-century of leadership in developing and refining experiential and online educational models that have kept the college at the forefront of institutions seeking to address urgent issues currently facing human societies. Collaborative learning, multidisciplinary studies, and experiential and field-based learning are hallmarks of the Prescott educational experience. Enrolling approximately 1,000 students annually in on-campus and online programs, Prescott offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees, and houses approximately 150 residential students.

Prescott College is located in Prescott, Arizona, in north central Arizona and situated approximately 95 miles southwest of Flagstaff, AZ, and 100 miles northwest of Phoenix, Arizona. The city of Prescott has a vibrant downtown area and a strong arts community.

The Position
Reporting to the dean of student affairs at Prescott College, the director of housing and residence life provides departmental leadership for all aspects of the college's housing operations and residential student engagement, including supervision, assignments, student support, safety and security, academic collaborations, and other administrative responsibilities. Through the supervision and direct support of residence life staff, and collaborations cross-college, the director of housing and residence life works towards the overarching goal of developing and fostering a welcoming community of caring and respectful individuals. Utilizing the College’s LEED Platinum certified, 122-bed facility, the director is responsible for conference housing, including scheduling limited-residency students during colloquiums and hosting local conference groups.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for a rising star in residence life and housing eager to make a lasting impact. The director supervises one full-time staff member and a team of resident assistants. This is a live-in position, and the anticipated start date is July 2024.

Qualifications
A bachelor's degree and previous housing or residence life experience are required. Master's degree in college student personnel or higher education administration and supervisory experience is strongly preferred. The successful candidate must have experience in crisis management and response, development of educational outcomes for residential students, and the ability to work collaboratively with and on behalf of a diverse community of students, faculty, and administrators; training and development of staff; and commitment to creating a welcoming community for all.
