Description
The School of Health Sciences at Southern Illinois University Carbondale is seeking qualified applicants for a NTT Faculty position within the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, beginning August 16, 2024. This is a full-time, term, nine-month, non-tenure track position. The Nursing program serves a diverse group of students from around the region and upper Chicago area. The program also has a newly developed state of the art nursing lab for students and faculty to interact in for specialty training.

Examples of Duties
To provide simulation instruction and evaluation of performance for BSN students in the laboratory setting, to provide clinical instruction and evaluation of performance for BSN students in the clinical setting, to carry a full-time teaching load, to assist with student recruitment and retention activities, to participate and complete course assessment activities for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, to engage in other duties as determined by the Director of the School of Health Sciences.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
At the time of application, applicants must hold:
Master of Science in Nursing degree;
and a current and unencumbered license as an Illinois Registered Nurse (RN).
Preferred Qualifications:
Clinical practice, teaching experience, and/or simulation experience in Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Geriatrics, Adult Nursing and/or Nursing Skills Lab Instruction/Maintenance.
