The School of Art at Ball State University invites applications for part-time instructors to teach a variety of courses in Animation, including:
  • Art 210 Animation: Introduction to 3d
  • Art 315 Animation: Character design
  • Art 341 Animation: Game engine 01
  • Art 342 Animation: Game engine 02
  • Art 440 Animation: Game design studio pre-production
  • Art 441 Animation: Game design studio
  • Art 311 Animation: 3d modeling, texturing, lighting, and rendering
  • Art 312 Animation: 3d Animation, rigging, and simulation
  • Art 314 Animation: Experimental techniques
  • Art 319 Animation: Compositing and motion graphics
  • Art 351 Animation: Dynamic Effects
  • Art 352 Animation: Visual Effects Animation
  • Art 353 Animation: CG lighting for visual effects
Successful candidates may be hired to teach between one and three sections and we offer both online and in-person modalities. Course development support and pedagogical mentoring will be offered.

Minimum Experience:

Master’s degree in animation, illustration, game design, visual effects, or a related field from an accredited institution OR two years of documented industry experience in animation, illustration, game design, visual effects, or a related field

Preferred Experience:

One year of teaching experience at the college level
