College/Department Information

The Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center is the single largest investment in a cybersecurity facility in the nation to date. The $100 million facility will help to fill the current and growing shortage of cybersecurity talent in the state and nation. The Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center represents a unique public/private partnership that includes Augusta University, Augusta Technical College, the University System of Georgia's research institutions, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, and other state, federal, and private-sector partners working together to meet this workforce demand and to innovate, train, and strengthen defenses.

The state-of-the-art Center is located in the growing cybersecurity corridor in Augusta, Georgia, that is also home to the U.S. Army Cyber Command and Cyber School of Excellence at Fort Eisenhower. The Center is located on the downtown campus of Augusta University and houses the School of Computer and Cyber Sciences.

Job Summary

The Ecosystem Engagement Coordinator will develop and execute engagement programs that enhance and support the innovation and ecosystem development efforts across the region and within the Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center ecosystem to improve the value of collaboration and ensure all voices of partners in the eco-system are heard. This position will also assist the Innovation team with development, oversight, and management of internal and external engagement activities.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Ecosystem Engagement

As part of the Innovation team, cultivate strong relationships with companies, academic partners, research labs, and industry partners. Ensure timely and consistent communication with partners, working groups, project teams, and event attendees. Determine needs and leverage common resources and capabilities among partners within the GCITC. Proactively identify and address members in the ecosystem needs, ensuring high satisfaction levels. Develop and execute engagement programs to enhance the value of partnership and to ensure all members voices are heard. Participate in the recruitment of partners to ensure continued collaboration and cohesiveness within the ecosystem.

Ecosystem Development

Continually strengthen the ecosystem across the region by partaking in external community building events, strengthening relationships across the community. Facilitate cross-collaboration and interdisciplinary initiatives to drive engagement, program definition, and program needs or improvements. Act as a liaison between members, fostering a sense of community and shared goals. Actively acquire, develop, and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with employers, associations, and community organizations to leverage and continually grow business development opportunities. Manage the internal ecosystem to help build a collective community among partners to promote and encourage engagement, participation, collaboration and innovation. Recruit partners to participate in planned activities, facilitate educational partnerships with academic institutions at the GCITC

Ecosystem Management

Plan and execute events, workshops, and forums to promote networking and knowledge exchange. These will include in-person and hybrid engagements. Work with internal and external marketing teams to drive communication for the ecosystem. Work with leadership to identify opportunities and risks, assist in programming and future planning of innovation spaces to promote partner engagement. Support the innovation space through targeted marketing and advertising to promote new and existing capabilities.

Data Analysis and Reporting

Track and analyze key performance indicators related to member engagement and ecosystem development. Generate regular reports for leadership, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of three years of applicable experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

KNOWLEDGE

Experience working with executive team leads to fulfill organizations needs.

Public speaking experience.

Experience in event planning and execution.

SKILLS

Excellent communication and interpersonal (both virtual and in-person) skills.

Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate effectively with members and employees in person and by telephone/email.

Possess time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

Must have the ability to exercise discretion and make integral decisions to ensure collaboration and encourage innovation which will have a direct effect on the success of the Innovation team. Position will represent the ecosystem and manage the relationships with partners across government, industry, and academia.

Shift/Salary/Benefits

Shift: Days/M-F (work outside of the normal business hours will likely be required of an employee in an exempt level position)

Pay Grade: 19

Salary: Minimum $51,967/Annually - Midpoint $63,644/Annually

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
