JOB DESCRIPTION:
Interface Installation and Support
The candidate will be responsible for the administration, maintenance and ongoing support for Healthcare
interfaces in support of UF research, between UF Health systems which use standard interface engines.
Responsibilities include: Interface Engine software installation, monitoring, configuration, upgrades, and
patching; Gathering interface statistics for performance monitoring; testing of backup and recovery
procedures; scripting; problem identification and resolution; and documentation.

Interface Design and Monitoring
Assist in the research, analysis, and recommendation of standards, procedures, and new technologies to
improve interface engine reliability, performance, and recovery. Will assist in the assessment of project
proposals for compliance with interface standards, risk, implementation and ongoing support
requirements, and ability to meet proposed timelines. Perform the role of lead Interface Engineer for
assigned projects. Organize and lead meetings.

Epic Research support
The position will interact with, and must communicate effectively, with a range of experts in clinical and
health services research, working to understand their use cases and assist in guiding them to actionable
research focused solutions within the Epic EHR environment. Duties include, assisting researchers in
understanding Epic workflows, learning sessions with researchers to help them understand what is and is
not possible within Epic at UF Health. Application build and security settings within the Epic RSRCH
environment. Assist in the creation of a catalog of Epic integrations that we can provide researchers that
have been vetted. Creating of FHIR/HL7 interfaces within the RSRCH Epic environment for POC testing
of potential research integrations.

Research Data support
Assist in OHDSI omop cdm data warehouse mapping from various source repositories, including
infrastructure and ETL related support.
EXPECTED SALARY:
$80,500 - $136,600

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, statistics, information systems, or related
field.
• Experience with data standards and formats, modeling, database design, analysis and reporting
tools, project management and familiarity with health care information systems.
• Proven track record of architecting and deploying software solutions
• Excellent communication skills, with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Willingness to do the work necessary to meet deadlines.
• Experience working with HL7 or FHIR
• Knowledge of SQL.
• Knowledge of Python and java, familiarity with R
• Experience with Epic application build and support.
• Experience working with Epic security classes
