Responsibilities
Responsibilities
• The focus of this position is to lead our client management infrastructure in our dynamic and diverse environment.
• Manages, plans, and installs new software releases and system upgrades for operating systems and applications.
• Manages systems administration projects by developing test and implementation plans along with project timelines.
• Follow up and coordinate with customers, internal staff, and vendors as required.
• Monitor and adjust system performance and capacity.
• Document equipment configurations, procedures, and guidelines to provide accurate information related to IT services.
• Perform regular security monitoring and auditing on system resources to identify possible security issues.

Requirements/Preferences
• Requires demonstrable communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proven ability to work in a team environment, with both other IT professionals and with customer groups.
• Customers include institute leadership, physicians, research scientists, healthcare professionals, and administrative staff. This support requires a high level of interpersonal skill and the ability to work within a varied, demanding environment.
• Must be extremely detail-oriented.
• Desktop engineering background with large-scale deployments of software updates, applications, and operating system images. Includes managing supporting infrastructure, and inventory reporting.
• Desired technology: Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM), Windows Server Administration, Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell, PKI, Microsoft Intune.
• Optional skill sets: SQL querying, Office 365, mobile device management a plus

Other
• This position will require on-call and after-hours support on an as-needed basis.

Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) with at least 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
