Full-time tenure-track faculty position for both the undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Specialty areas include one or more of the areas: medical/surgical, community health, pediatrics, psychiatric mental health, family nurse practitioner, nursing education, and nursing leadership/administration.

1) Implement innovative teaching-learning practices to promote student engagement in didactic, simulation, clinical, and/or online instruction;
2) Participate in course and curricula development and evaluation;
3) Provide didactic teaching, clinical supervision, and evaluation of students’ performances in undergraduate and/or graduate courses;
4) Apply for grant funding;
5) Disseminate research and scholarly activities in peer reviewed publications and presentations at state, national, and international conferences; and
6) Contribute to the professional life of the School of Nursing, the College of Health, Ball State University, the community, and the profession.

Minimum Experience:

1) Current unencumbered Registered Nurse License in the United States, with Indiana Registered Nurse License obtained by date of appointment;
2) Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution; and
3) Complete all requirements for a doctorate in nursing or a related field from an accredited institution by date of appointment.

Preferred Experience:

Demonstrated ability to
1) teach (undergraduate and graduate) didactic and clinical nursing content in area of expertise;
2) develop and/or maintain a program of research, as demonstrated by at least one publication in a peer reviewed journal;
3) work collaboratively with diverse faculty, students and staff; and
4) promote change to improve the didactic and clinical course curriculum.
