Job Description Summary:
The KU School of Nursing Office of Academic and Faculty Affairs is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Academic Programs Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our academic programs by managing various administrative tasks and providing support to faculty, students, and staff. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Job Description:
Required Qualification

Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. A combination of education and related work experience may be substituted for the degree on a year-for-year basis.,

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in a relevant field.

Previous experience in academic administration or coordination preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook and SharePoint

Other Job Duties Outlined

Facilitate the distribution of educational materials to faculty and students.

Manage and update Academic Program calendars using Outlook.

Oversee the approval and storage of final projects submitted by students.

Schedule and coordinate program exams.

Arrange appropriate rooms for all academic programs and events.

Coordinate annual Curriculum Retreat, including room scheduling and presentations related to program objectives.

Collaborate with Technology and Learning Teams (TLT) to provide support for weekly program needs, including Oral Exams and BSN classes.

Learn support role for SON academic systems, e.g., Enroll & Pay, CIM/CAT, Student Permission number, catalog processes.

Collaborate with other areas in the SON on processes, as needed, e.g., program evaluation.

Maintain and update the SharePoint sites to ensure accessibility and accuracy of information.

Monitor and respond to general inquiries received via the academic affairs email account.

Prepare annual reports summarizing the program outcomes.
