The College of Education & Human Development is seeking to hire an Administrative Assistant to provide support to the Department of Educational Policy Studies.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

The Administrative Assistant will assist in planning special events, including conferences, workshops and special ceremonies. This position may supervise the work of staff or graduate assistants. Provides excellent customer service as the first point of contact for the public.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Reserve meeting rooms; place catering orders.
Provide room setup and clean up; assist facilitators as needed.
Coordinate materials for large mailings, collect registration materials, create name tags/tents for all sessions,
Coordinate payment of invoices and monitor the budget.
Create and maintain contact lists, mail merges, mailings, draft reports and correspondence; process forms.
Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
Research and process orders for promotional materials.
Maintain records and files, maintain database of leader contacts and the center's calendar.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree; or high school diploma or GED and four years administrative experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
