A Staff Scientist opportunity is immediately available for the highly motivated individual in the laboratory of Dr. Adolfo Garcia-Ocana, Professor and Chair in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Endocrinology at the Arthur Riggs-Diabetes and Metabolism Research Institute of City of Hope. The Staff Scientist series is designed for career research professionals whose primary function is to support the research infrastructure and activities of the institution. Staff Scientists will bring special skills, knowledge,and experience to research programs or institutional core laboratories.

As a successful candidate, you will:

· Work on stem cells, genome editing, HTS, pancreatic islet biology and diabetes.

· Skills that are required for the lab are molecular biology, biochemistry and cell biology techniques

Qualifications:

· PhD degree in an appropriate discipline

· Experience with stem cells and genome editing. Islet biology experience is preferrable.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $34.96 - $118.63 / hour
