Job Description

Responsibilities*
Basic Function and Responsibilities
To provide excellent clinical and administrative support in Radiation Oncology clinical setting.

Taking and recording vital signs and collecting/processing specimens in point-of-care testing labs.
Process patient care orders using the electronic ordering system may be required in certain areas according to approved physician-delegated protocols and standing orders.
Maintain in basket messaging for provider messages, medication refills, patient portal messaging, etc..
Obtains and records accurate/pertinent intake information that includes preparing medical information and reports, medical history, medication information, allergies, surgical history, etc..
Efficiently and effectively prepare, stock and organize clinic exam rooms with appropriate supplies and equipment.
Serves as a chaperone during sensitive examinations.
Monitor patient flow and notify patients/families of schedule or provider delays.
Preform other assignments such as assisting with closing processes.
Prepare, complete forms, and ensure patients are given appropriate paperwork.
Support virtual care appointments as applicable.
Demonstrate the ability to multi-task independently.
Maintains effective, collaborative relationships with other ACUs.
Ensure HDR procedure coverage.
Required Qualifications*
High School Diploma or GED.
Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR an equivalent combination of education and 3-4 years of Medical Assistant experience.
Preceptor status.
MiChart Experience.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent attendance.
Excellent technical skills: MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
