The University of Missouri-Columbia, College of Arts & Science, seeks a Senior Business Support Specialist. This position provides fiscal and payroll support for three departments in A&S Portfolio 2: Anthropology; Classics, Archaeology, and Religion; and Women’s and Gender Studies.

Primary responsibilities include:


• Process payroll for department hires and track changes
• Complete payroll reconciliation reports
• Serve as department timekeeper
• Financial reporting – Monitor non-grant funds and ensure automated financial reports are sent to faculty on a monthly basis (Faculty Professional Development funds; Faculty Start-up; Internal awards; Endowment/Gift funds as needed)
• Account reconciliation – Complete checklists for all department funds and monitor for errors
• Assist the Department Chairs and Portfolio Manager with ad hoc research and analyses
• Process Correcting Entries
• Process Payroll Correcting Entries
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary





Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $17.96 – 25.57 per hour

Grade: GGS 008
