Summary

The Section of General Internal Medicine is seeking a Business Operations Coordinator to provide support for the Hospital Medicine Program at CHI St. Luke's hospitals in the greater Houston area.  This role supports the daily business operations that includes providing credentialing, maintaining provider schedules, and day-to-day administrative support. This position requires excellent organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties

  • Supports the day-to-day operational support of the hospital medicine program at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center.
  • Leads provider credentialing that includes BaylorMedCare credentialing, the tracking of credentialing status, initial credentialing, and re-credentialing.
  • Maintains hospitalist schedules in QGenda and works with Medical Director to ensure correct coverage at all times.
  • Organizes meetings, prepares agendas, and takes meeting minutes and action items.
  • Audits provider billing and compliance.
  • Processes supplemental payments for faculty for moonlighting and other additional assignments.
  • Provides administrative support to the Medical Director.
  • Provides administrative support to faculty that includes processing reimbursements, travel requests, and ordering of supplies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
