Summary

This role primarily provides administrative support to Senior/Leadership Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) Faculty in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Psychology. In addition, this role works collaboratively with both BCM and Texas Children's Hospital (TCH) stakeholders to assist with operations in the clinical and administrative space. This role supports mainly the college's teaching, research and clinical missions in an administrative capacity.

Job Duties

  • Provides support to the division administrator and may assist with position management, personnel transactions.
  • Acts as a backup for division administrator as it relates to approvals and financial transactions. 
  • Acts as senior staff member that junior staff members should be able to come to for support. -
  • Manages trip requests and expense reports related to travel that Division faculty take. This travel positively affects academic and research productivity for the Division and the college. 
  • Works with faculty and other personnel on correspondence and presentations related to their academic, clinical and research productivity. 
  • Manages individual faculty calendars on a day-to-day basis, arranging in person and virtual meetings and calls related to academic, clinical and research productivity. 
  • Assists or acts as a delegate for faculty timekeeping in Success Factors. 
  • Assists with other activities related to faculty administrative support as needed.
  • Works with division administrator and clinic chief to oversee clinical space needs of daily operations, managing space in the Texas Children's space management application. 
  • Assists division administrator with on-boarding activities including credentialing paperwork, access requests, and orientation schedules. 
  • Provides single point contact for TCH and BCM Information Services teams to shepherd service tickets to completion, including participating in system testing if necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • High level (leadership) Administrative support experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
