Job Summary/Basic Function:
This position develops and supports the administration of graduate and undergraduate programs to advance the recruitment of highly qualified and diverse applicants to the Wright State University College of Health, Education, and Human Services. This role supports the student experience by ensuring a smooth admissions process and fostering an engaging environment through events.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 1 year experience in higher education, marketing, sales, or event planning. Graduate assistantship experience applies.
Proficient in MS Office and social media.
Demonstrated ability to work on multiple diverse projects at the same time and to work autonomously.
Experience working with diverse populations or customer service experience
Strong public speaking and excellent communication skills.
Professional writing, document editing, and file management skills
Reliable transportation is required due to travel.
Some evening and weekend hours required.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration or related field.
Experience with university computer systems i.e. BANNER Admin, EAB-Navigate, Pilot, Slate.
Experience designing, planning, developing programs and measuring outcomes in an academic environment.
Experience working with any of the following: higher education admissions; adult learners, college students, high school students.
Strong knowledge of health, education, and human services professions, student development, and academic programming.
Essential Functions and percent of time:
50% Outreach and Recruitment
Coordinate targeted recruitment events such as departmental open houses and hands on lab activities to showcase CHEH programs.
Represent Wright State University’s College of Health, Education, and Human Services at campus and community events.
Expand internal and external partnerships focusing on outreach, recruitment, and admission.
Coordinate recruitment efforts designed to matriculate diverse and qualified candidates to the CHEH.
Respond to program inquiries from current and prospective students, faculty, and staff.
·Develop an annual recruitment calendar of events and secure faculty and staff coverage for events.

25% Student Engagement and Retention:
Plan, organize, and attend student engagement events such as annual kick off, new student orientation, departmental honors tea, and commencement-related activities.
Collaborate with campus and community partners to plan and facilitate CHEH student events.
Oversee the logistics of engagement events. This includes but is not limited to event set-up and teardown.
Advise CHEH Dean Student’s Advisory Board
Support retention initiatives to include end of term academic review; review options for students on probation.

20% Marketing and Advertising:
Develop professional program marketing materials for all Schools within the CHEH.
Supervise development and distribution of materials; review and update departmental websites.
Order and maintain promotional swag for the CHEH.
Ensure accuracy of all academic program information and inquiry forms on the CHEH website.
Manage and expand CHEH presence on social media channels.
Create and disseminate an electronic college newsletter every semester.

5% Other Duties As Assigned
Includes but not limited to serving on university and college committees.
Non-Essential Functions and percent of time:

Working Conditions
Some evening and weekend hours required. Office environment with travel to events that may require set-up/tear down, ability to lift 10-15 pounds and/or push/pull cart with program materials.
