The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is one of a few in the United States that contains all of the OB/GYN subspecialties, with expertise in virtually all aspects of women’s health care available to our community while participating in education, research and patient care. Our department has a number of unique, clinical specialty programs that combine subspecialty physician expertise with specialized support teams to care for and teach about specific and often rare medical problems, while providing compassionate and accessible care for women from all economic and social groups in the region through multiple offices and clinics.



The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician. Candidates should have an interest in academic medicine, reproductive medicine, and the ability to lead the MFM division. The rank of appointment (Associate/Professor) is open and will be commensurate with the experience and professional accomplishments of the selected applicant. The job duties and effort for this position will be 10% protected administrative time to support a Division Director role, 5% education, and 85% clinical/clinical teaching.

Essential Functions
Conduct and teach assigned undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses and seminars.
Evaluate and develop curriculum for department and/or college.
Attend meetings, participate in governance, prepare materials for teaching.
Serve as an academic adviser for students and evaluate student coursework.
Serve on college or university committees and participate in curriculum development activities.
Serve on graduate committees, supervise laboratories (where appropriate), independent study activities, and off-campus learning.
Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of his or her responsibilities.
Render service to the professional or lay community which is relevant to the individual’s academic specialty.
Review, and where necessary, respond in a timely manner to all University-related communications.
Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
MD or DO
Completion of a board certified Obstetrics & Gynecology residency program
Formal Fellowship training in Maternal Fetal Medicine
Eligible for a medical license in the state of Ohio
Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology and in Maternal Fetal Medicine
