Job Description Summary:

Employs and provides technical customer service and/or research to support unit processes and outcomes.

Job Description:


Description of Duties and Tasks

  • Performs lamp changes from fluorescent to LED

  • Properly disposes of lamps per ACC guidelines

  • Works collaboratively with Electrical team and internal departments of the college

  • Provides referral to supervisor when problems occur which are beyond the skills of the technician; and tracks the problem until it has been resolved.

  • Routinely utilizes ladder to perform duties

Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in a hallways, classes and offices

  • Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling, and at times subject to stooping, crawling, and climbing.

  • May need to lift heavy objects of up to 35 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to focus.
