Summary

The primary purpose of this Student Helper position is to provide office administrative and lab/technical support related to age-related macular degeneration. This is a great opportunity for a student seeking a degree in the sciences or has an interest in basic science research

Job Duties

Provides office administrative support.
Provides research administrative or technical support.
Plans, directs, and conducts supervised research experiments.
Documents results of experiments and report to principal investigator and during lab meetings.
Oversees the maintenance of lab equipment, ordering, and the general lab environment.
Learns and becomes proficient with techniques related to animals, in vivo imaging, ocular drug delivery, gene therapy and histopathology.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be a High School or College Student (undergraduate or graduate).
No experience required.
