About This Role:

K-State Athletics is seeking qualified applicants for an SENIOR ASSOCIATE ATHLETICS DIRECTOR FOR BUSINESS/CFO, which is a full-time, salaried, benefits-eligible position.

An example of job duties includes but are not limited to:

Review and approve all KSA procurement documents.
Monitor current and future KSA financial positions.
Create and monitor KSA annual budget.
Work with staff to ensure effectiveness of accounting, information technology and human resources.
Oversee and participate in reconciliation of all financial records between K-State Athletics, Foundation and University financial systems.
Primary contact for internal and external audit functions, which includes preparation and/or review of all reports and accounting worksheets requested by auditors.
Prepare year-end financial statements, including statement of activities and net assets and balance sheets.
Prepare financial reports for KSA Board.
Review and approve all contract (construction, game, hotel, etc.) and construction project cost, bonds, loans, etc.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in accounting at time of application
Five years of full-time experience as a CFO or Associate CFO of an organization with annual spending of at least $60M
Must have excellent experience in accounting, financial management, and supervision
Must possess excellent leadership skills
Must have proven ability to monitor, maintain, and continually upgrade systems and procedures
Must be able to successfully interact with co-workers and outside entities
Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in accounting or MBA with accounting focus
Certified Public Accountant
More than five years of full-time experience as a CFO or Associate CFO of an organization with an annual spending budget of at least $60M
Familiar with and direct experience in a NCAA Division I role
Experienced with Kansas State University systems and procedures
Other Requirements:

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
Must be able to work independently in a demanding work environment with proven skills to multi-task
Possess strong computer skills, including MS Office with excellent knowledge and experience with Excel
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Must be able to work evenings and weekends and travel as required
