The Department of World Languages and Cultures seeks and adjunct faculty member to teach Spanish 102 (Intermediate Spanish) for the SMC Summer Academy for High School Students in Summer 2024.
Mondays through Fridays, June 10 through June 28, 2024, 9:00-11:30am
Courses will be taught in person on the Moraga campus.
For students with two or three years of secondary study of Spanish (or the equivalent). This course continues the development of listening, speaking, reading and writing, fostering confidence in conversation and composition across a variety of subjects.
Qualifications:
Candidates should hold either a BA along with a demonstrated record of professional and academic excellence or a combination of professional and academic experience. MA preferred.
Demonstrated teaching effectiveness and a strong commitment to teaching undergraduate learners.
Candidates must reside in California.
Salary: $7,447- $10,308 depending on qualifications.
The salary range for this position is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021, available here.
