The Graduate School aims to provide a rich intellectual, academic and research environment for educating students to become leaders in the discovery, dissemination, and application of knowledge. To help facilitate this, our graduate faculty members are selected based on experience in research, scholarship and education. They are drawn from the faculties of Augusta University's College of Allied Health Sciences, College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Hull College of Business, Dental College of Georgia, College of Education, College of Science and Mathematics, College of Nursing, School of Computer & Cyber Sciences and the Medical College of Georgia. Class sizes are small, and the faculty excels in cultivating and modeling supportive, collegial and professional relationships with students. Job Summary

This position will work with the unit to help develop & execute communication strategies and tactics. Primary responsibilities are in supporting internal and external communications as an effort to promote positive public image and tell the unit's story by producing deliverables in a variety of formats.

Responsibilities

The duties included, but are not limited to:

GRADUATE SCHOOL WEBPAGE DEVELOPMENT: Responsible for designing, creating, and optimizing TGS web pages. Responsible for designing and utilizing web forms, features and elements. Responsible for creating and maintaining webpage navigation. Responsible for maintaining back-end organization of web pages. Responsible for basic coding and back-end architecture of webpages. Responsible for drafting and editing basic web content. Responsible for optimizing photos for web publication. Utilizes approved AU web auxiliary pages and systems to enhance webpages and publication, as needed (e.g. Campus Insider).

GRADUATE SCHOOL WEBPAGE MAINTENANCE: Responsible for maintaining and updating TGS webpages information - internet and intranet. Serves as a resource for graduate program content and liaison with individual programs and TGS. Monitors and aligns content across programs, units, Colleges and TGS pages. Performs routine audit of webpages and content. Evaluates and maintains (update, correct, move, remove) existing content to ensure that information on the webpages is accurate, current, and relevant. Develops and adds new content/pages, as needed. Corresponds and collaborates as needed for updates. Responsible for ensuring webpage design and publication meets institutional standards and best practices. Identifies leads for web content and stories (e.g. student and/or faculty accomplishments, achievements, special initiatives, new programs, etc.); collaborates and corresponds as needed to coordinate the process from "lead" to publication. Works with TGS office to maintain and update all TGS announcements, events, and information on the webpages in a timely manner. Work with the TGS Admissions team to ensure that all TGS admissions content is up to date and accurate. Provide support to the admissions team as needed.

ON-CAMPUS COLLABORATIONS: Work with appropriate departmental representative(s) throughout the enterprise to define content goals and organization and workflow process for authoring, approving, and publishing content. Collect and actively work to accomplish goals. Develop working groups to Increase Input from TGS stakeholders and help use the website to promote a sense of community and collegiality across TGS. Collaborate with the Division of Communications and Marketing (DCM) to ensure that all content and design meets the standards and mission of Augusta University. Work with DCM and Jagwire to increase TGS exposure by tagging us as appropriate.

WEB ANALYTICS & DATA ANALYSIS: Research and track market trends to increase competitiveness and maximize the use of TGS internet webpages as a recruitment tool. Track, analyze, and assess data and adapt/create tools to enhance user experience and engagement. Support academic programs and educational mission to identify expected outcomes, assess the extent to which they achieve these outcomes, and provide evidence of improvement based on the analysis of assessment results. Evaluate and report on visibility and impact of online content (analytics, quantitative and qualitative assessment). Analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of content strategy and use web analysis to expand content relevant to website visitors. Use assessment results to inform and drive changes in web content or organization to increase traffic and improve navigation. Identify and increase use of items that attract greater attention.

LIAISON BETWEEN COLLEGE AND IT: Serve as primary liaison between TGS and IT to troubleshoot any technology issues within TGS. Maintain technology in the TGS conference room to ensure it remains in working order. Serve as the TGS POC for all technology-related questions. Manage access and licenses for TGS online programs and software.

AID WITH CONTENT DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPORT GRADUATE PROGRAM: Take pictures, write content, develop videos. Create flyers, announcements, and forms for web publication. Writes and maintains SOPs for web processes/practices, written guidelines and keeps accurate documentation and files. Serve as POC for all media content in all TGS-wide events. Provide support as needed for special events and requests.

OTHER DUTIES: Perform all other related job duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of two years combined professional experience in web publishing, web design or web development or related field.

Demonstrated abilities in project management, evaluating opportunities, planning promotion, establishing new campaigns, and evaluating outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Information Technology or related field Experience in photography and photographic manipulation

Shift/Salary/Benefits

Shift: Days - (Monday-Friday) *Work outside of the normal business hours may be required.*

Pay Grade: 16

Salary: Minimum $ 41,846/annually - $56,492/annually

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position

Conditions of Employment
