Summary

Pediatrics is seeking a Student Helper to assist with Hematology/Oncology projects.

Job Duties

  • Performs benchwork to test the mutations associated with leukemia in children with Down syndrome, by mutating cell lines with CRISPR and:
    • Measures the expression of relevant genes
    • Tests the binding of transcription factors
    • Counts relative cell growth
  • Maintains cell lines for other projects.
  • Assists with mouse colony maintenance.
  • Acquires blood samples from mice for testing.
  • Organizes/cataloges patient and cell line samples

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a High School or College Student (undergraduate or graduate).
  • No experience required.
