Summary

Under general supervision, the Coordinator, Business Operations will play a key role in general administrative support for the Center for Comparative Medicine. This position will handle procurement, reimbursements, and assist with billing related data entry and effectively communicate with internal and external customers. This position may provide guidance to other team members or take lead role in team projects. This position requires a candidate with effective organizational and time management skills and self-driven to manage critical deadlines. 

 

The position requires someone who is self-driven and has a desire to expand their knowledge and grow in the research business operations field. The ideal candidate should be able to handle a fast pace environment with multiple deadlines. The candidate should have prior experience in a business setting where accuracy of data entry was essential. The candidate should be detail oriented, organized and professional and be able to work well with team members.

Job Duties

  • Prepares and processes purchase orders and reimbursements in Jaggaer, Concur and/or SAP.
  • Processes and monitors expense reports for travel.
  • Manages the facility access process that includes documenting and communicating with research investigators.
  • Collaborates with colleagues to collect and analyze data.
  • Participates or takes lead role in special projects related to planning or budget monitoring.  
  • Processes and delivers the mail daily within the department.
     

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with SAP.
  • Work experience in an academic or research setting.
  • Experience in client billing/accounts receivable/accounts payable.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel/spread sheets.
  • Ability to multitask with great attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
