Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Assesses and manages patients, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions utilizing appropriate consultation and established protocols.
Establishes plan of care with patient and family. Prescribes medications and/or recommends medications and treatments to patients within the scope of practice for APRN.
Facilitates patient/family participation in health and medical care providing information needed to make health decisions and choices (collaborates with physicians, pharmacists and other medical professionals).
Collects data and reviews reports to formulate a diagnosis and treatment plan.
Operates within the scope of an APRN.
Interprets evaluation and assessment results and maintains appropriate records.
Provides trainings for families, staff, school personnel, therapists and professional organizations as requested.
Participates in developing appropriate developmental outcomes and strategies as part of the muti-disciplinary team.
EXPECTED SALARY:
$90,000 to $100,000 annually depending on education and experience.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree with a major in nursing or another health-related area. Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in accordance with Chapter 464, Florida Statutes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree with appropriate training as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program.
Experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred.
Pediatric experience preferred.
