Position Description

With little to no direction and using a broad level of skills and knowledge, provide administrative support to assigned staff or faculty members. Operate independently in prioritizing own workload and that of others in determining how best to accomplish work objectives. Proactive in identifying, following through, and resolving various issues. Participate in special projects, as required. May delegate work to others. Provide support for Academic Success Center (ASC) directors and staff. Oversee and assist with day-to-day operations of ASC programs/services. Provide office coverage. Work as part of the ASC team to ensure the overall success of the program as required.

This is a 11-month position (August through June)

Position Requirements

  • High School diploma with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
  • Demonstrated effective communication and professional relationship-building and maintaining skills required.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of standard office equipment is required.
  • Computer proficiency is required with an emphasis on spreadsheet, and data management skills.
  • Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills and the ability to operate independently, prioritize and organize own work schedule, multi-task, and meet established deadlines.
  • Excellent record-keeping, and organization skills required.
  • Ability to delegate work responsibly to others, monitor the work of others, and provide ongoing guidance, and leadership to others.
  • The completion of a satisfactory background check is required.

Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience

College degree a plus. Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office programs and the use of web applications.
