What Your Job Will Be Like:
Are you passionate about people and looking for a new challenge? If so, Organization 03263, Talent Development Program Office, is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to join their team!
The selected candidate will support the administration of the University Education Programs (i.e., Tuition Assistance Program, Critical Skills Recruiting, and Critical Skills Part-Time) in partnership with the University Education Program's Administrator and support programs, projects, and initiatives within the Career Development and the Talent Development Office.
On any given day, one may be called upon to:
+ Provide guidance and educational options to the workforce by serving as point of contact for general information, policy interpretation, and counseling
+ Create, implement, and oversee the University Programs in partnership with alliance universities and colleges to ensure programs are in alignment with Sandia's strategic intent; Identify and facilitate program improvements
+ Act as intermediary between SNL procedures, employees, and universities on issues related to education programs
+ Collaborate with academic institutions to implement programs and courses aligned with Sandia's business needs
+ Track and report recurring and ad-hoc program metrics to executive management
+ Monitor the University Programs' annual budget
+ Promote and market educational opportunities lab-wide
+ Partner and collaborate with SNL/CA University Programs Administrators, HR Recruiting, and Student Programs Administrators to support Sandia's hiring strategy
+ Support programs, projects, and initiatives within the Career Development and Program Office
The selected applicant can work a combination of onsite and offsite work. The selected applicant must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the assigned work location when necessary.
Qualifications We Require:
+ A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business Administration, or Learning Sciences (e.g., Neuroscience, Psychology, Training, Education, Adult Education, Language(s), Philosophy, etc.); or equivalent experience and/or achievements that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job
+ The equivalency ratio for experience in lieu of education is 2 years of experience for 1 year of education. For example, the equivalent for a four-year bachelor’s degree is eight years of experience
+ An active DOE L-level security clearance; or other equivalent active security clearance such as DOD Secret

About Our Team:
Organization 03263 is the Career Development Office offering employees and managers tools, services, programs, and events to support their career management. This includes consultation, career coaching, workshops, university education programs, and assisting individuals and organizations on effective IDPs. In addition, Org. 03263 is the Program Office, providing quality and business operations for Talent Development, creating business templates, tools, quality measures, and balance scorecards/dashboards for key programs in support of operational excellence.

Security Clearance:
Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) L security clearance to start, or equivalent active security clearance with another U.S. government agency (e.g., DOD).
Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. Applicants for employment need to be able to maintain a DOE L-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. If you hold more than one citizenship (i.e., of the U.S. and another country), your ability to obtain a security clearance may be impacted.
Applicants offered employment with Sandia are subject to a federal background investigation to meet the requirements for access to classified information or matter if the duties of the position require a DOE security clearance. Substance abuse or illegal drug use, falsification of information, criminal activity, serious misconduct or other indicators of untrustworthiness can cause a clearance to be denied or terminated by DOE, resulting in the inability to perform the duties assigned and subsequent termination of employment.

NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs:
If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
