What Your Job Will Be Like:

We are seeking a Intern Year Round - Technical Undergrad

On any given day, you may be called on to:

  • + Support Project Management and Construction Management professionals in the execution of their daily tasks
  • Develop executable requirements for construction, based on engagement with specialty systems, maintenance, architectural, and engineering professionals
  • Assist with the review of engineering drawings, permits, plans, and specifications
  • Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, progress meetings, and various other meetings
  • Perform quality reviews, coordinate, and accept engineering system submittals, permits, etc.
  • Team across several functional areas to ensure projects progress on time, on schedule and on budget

Qualifications We Require:

You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:

  • Currently attending and enrolled full time in a related accredited undergraduate program
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
  • Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer
  • U.S. citizenship

Qualifications We Desire:

  • Currently working toward a Bachelor of Science in engineering, architecture, project management, or construction management
  • Knowledge in scheduling, project management, construction, and/or safety oversight
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow through to completion of multiple tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast past paced, dynamic environment, with team members and independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work with a team, including the ability to build and handle effective working relationships
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills

About Our Team:

The Facilities Project Team provides direct project management and construction management support for a variety of building and infrastructure improvements across the Laboratory in a given year. Projects completed across four separate organizations within the larger group range from simple construction projects requiring expedited turn around to large endeavors requiring substantial design and coordination. As an intern you may be assigned to support a variety of projects throughout your employment.

Security Clearance:
