This course will be taught in person, on campus
Through this course, students acquire a solid foundational knowledge of theater history, theatre literature, and theatre theory, from ancient civilizations through the end of the 18th century. While centered primarily on Western European theatre developments, the course also offers a look at important Asian theatre developments during the same timespan, such as Noh and Kabuki.
Qualifications:
An advanced degree in Theatre or a related field, and at least 3 years of experience working with undergraduate students. The successful candidate will have experience in a culturally diverse classroom setting, the ability to create a student-centered, interactive and collaborative learning environment, and a strong commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education.
Candidates must reside in California.
Salary: $7,447-$10,308 dependent on qualifications. The salary range for this position is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021, available here.
