The Rider University community is composed of faculty, staff, and students from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.

The Department of Performing Arts at Rider University seeks an adjunct instructor of Theatre to deliver the online, asynchronous course: American Theatre History for the SPRING 2024 semester beginning January 22, 2024, and ending on April 26, 2024.

Position Requirements

Applicants must hold an advanced or terminal degree in Theater, Theatre History or closely related field, demonstrated depth of knowledge of the American Theatre and the history which shaped and continues to shape it. Commitment to fully integrating diverse perspectives and content which best represents the great diversity of American society and an ever-diversifying field.

Candidates with a demonstrated commitment to expanding inclusivity, diversity, equity and access in the American Theatre and in higher education are highly desired.

Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience

Terminal Degree in Theatre and/or Theatre History, a minimum three years’ experience teaching in Higher Education setting.
