Position Description:

The Human Resource and Organizational Development (HROD) program at the University of Louisville is looking for a dynamic individual to join our innovative Master’s and Doctoral program group. We invite candidates who share our vision and are committed to supporting student retention and a willingness to work as a collaborative team member. The successful candidate will advise new students and assist the Program Director for HROD in championing the program to achieve recruitment and retention goals with stakeholders and community constituents. This is a temporary opportunity, part-time (20 hours per week) until June 30, 2023, with potential for renewal. Successful applicant may work remote but be available for onsite meetings at UofL.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead Recruitment and Retention Efforts through Graduate Advising & Success Coaching

  • Assist HROD Program Director with activities related to student success.
  • Assist graduate students with academic advising (e.g., course selection).
  • Outreach to existing students as well as follow up with students enrolled whom have not completed.
  • Assist with managing the application process for applicant outreach, support, and tracking of applications.
  • Assist with activities related to program marketing (e.g., virtual information session, social media), and student recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Participate in virtual Information Sessions and Orientations, and follow-ups (e.g., phone calls, emails), as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Human Resources or related field;
  • Experience with career management, coaching, advising, and/or mentoring;
  • Experience with social media, marketing, and online platforms;
  • Experience with recruiting and promoting goals and outcomes of program to stakeholders.

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
