Position Description:

The Senior Sales Account Executive will be responsible for driving revenue through season ticket and partial plan sales to area businesses, individuals, and local groups/organizations. A successful account executive will have a strong understanding of the sales process, excel at pursuing leads, building relationships, and closing deals. This role will also be responsible for hitting yearly season ticket renewal goals. The Senior AE will reach their goals by prospecting sales opportunities via phone/text, email, face-to-face appointments, special events, and in-stadium/arena touchpoints. They are also responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, updating and maintaining account records, and other duties as assigned. This position will report to the Director of New Business.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for, but not limited to, the sales of football and men’s basketball season tickets and partial plans to both corporations and the general public.
  • Attain individual and department sales goals as set by the Director of New Business and the Assistant AD of Strategy & Innovation.
  • Make an average of 50+ contacts per day by phone call, email, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Implement and demonstrate outbound sales efforts by using sales and service best practices, prospecting, networking, lead generation, referral gathering, data capture and personal database management.
  • Work to identify new key community relationships or partnerships that will assist in developing new opportunities. Represent the organization in the community at various events and programming.
  • Establish sales presence at football and men’s basketball home games, and all relevant UofL Athletics events, through tabling, hospitality, and entertainment opportunities.
  • Assist in fulfilling all season ticket member events to maintain and service current ticket members.
  • Participate and contribute to daily or weekly sales team meetings and training sessions.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all constituents.
  • Manage a database of assigned leads in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Build relationships with accounts and prospects through call campaigns and seat visits.
  • Maintain a detailed database of records pertaining to ticket sales prospects and current customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Effective interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills including written and verbal; ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to attend and work all home Football and Men's Basketball games
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft CRM database
  • Experience using Ticketmaster, Archtics Ticketing System
