Position Description:

The Dental Clinic Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the entire clinic, primarily the staff and patient schedule. The supervisor will facilitate the office workflow and clinic schedule to maximize patient care and clinic productivity and ensure policies and procedures as outlined by the Clinical Administrator are implemented. The Dental Clinic supervisor will oversee operations at an offsite location located in Owensboro, KY.

The position is multifaceted with the primary duty of making it possible for every employee to function effectively and efficiently, while providing quality patient care and managing the operation and cost of this clinic. The position will manage all external relationships to include those within the University and those external to the University.

Eligible for $10,000 sign-on/retention bonus

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the management of the Clinic including planning, organizing and coordinating the day-to-day operation of the patient care for providers, staff and front desk patient service representatives. 
  • Act as the liaison between patients, doctors and ULSD administrators. 
  • Manage and direct staff as well as maintain a safe and secure working environment.
  • Ensure policies and procedures as outlined by the Clinic Administrator and the University of Louisville are implemented. 
  • Actively participate in staff meetings and continuous quality improvement programs.
  • In conjunction with the Clinical Administrator, supervise classified clinic staff, monitoring work schedules, professional trainings and job evaluations. 
  • Ensure staff operates day-to-day within ULSD guidelines and policies. 
  • Ensure the Clinic is ready for day-to-day operations and patient care.
  • Assist in the supervision of front desk personnel and dental assistants to ensure coverage in all areas of oral health care.

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
