Summary

The laboratory of Dr. Mingshan Xue (https://www.bcm.edu/research/faculty-labs/mingshan-xue-lab) in the Department of Neuroscience at Baylor College of Medicine and the Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute at Texas Children's Hospital, Houston Texas is seeking applications for a postdoctoral fellow position.

Job Duties

  • Workswith mouse models of neurodevelopmental disorders and develop ASO (antisense oligonucleotide) or AAV (adeno-associated virus)-based therapies for these disorders.
  • Leads the project and collaborates with a team of scientists within the lab and from the industry partners.
  • Develops his/her independent research program in the general area of neurodevelopmental disorders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
  • No experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • While previous relevant experience is desired, we are also interested in individuals with a broad range of expertise.
  • Preferred applicants should have a strong research record in one or more of the following areas: neuroscience, mouse genetics, molecular biology, cell biology, and animal behavior.
