The Department of Information Systems, Analytics, and Supply Chain Management (ISASCM) at Rider University seeks an adjunct instructor of Risk Management and Insurance for the Spring 2024 semester beginning January 22nd, 2024. This position is to teach the following class:

MSD 260 (Principles of Risk Management) meets every Thursday 6:30pm-9:30pm with a starting day of January 22nd, 2024. 

The objective of this course is to provide students with a broad framework for evaluating all types of risk, along with conceptual tools for making risk management decisions rationally. The course focuses on studying the risk assessment and management techniques, methods, and predictive models used in industry to minimize, control, and communicate risks, including conducting various risk management protocols. This course covers the fundamental knowledge for the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) Designation of Institutes.

Position Requirements

Associate in Risk Management designation from the Institutes and significant relevant industry experience. Demonstrated teaching experiences in either industry or university setting.

Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience

A graduate degree (Master’s or Doctoral degree) in Risk Management or related field and CPCU designation from the Institutes. Two or more years of university teaching experience, either full-time or part-time, and demonstrated ability to teach a diverse student body.
