Position Description:

Job Summary

The candidate will support the Sequencing Technology Center by performing molecular biology assays, preparing sequencing libraries, and assist with general day-to-day operations of a sequencing core.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Will be responsible for molecular biology assays such as nucleic acid extraction, sample QC, library preparations, and sequencing across multiple platforms.

  • Must keep detailed records and enter project information into project management software.

  • Will be expected to support and work closely with team members.

  • Will operate and maintain laboratory equipment.

  • Will assist in general daily laboratory operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in basic molecular biology techniques, including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, next generation sequencing.
