Qualifications:

Psychobiology is the scientific study of the biology of behavior. It examines the neuroanatomical, neurochemical, and neurophysiological bases of behavior, including sensation, cognition, motivation, emotion, brain injury, and psychopathology. The course includes a laboratory component to reinforce and expand upon lecture material through the use of readings, computer models, and electrophysiology. Preference will be given to those who have previously taught Psych 110/110L.

This course will be taught in person on the Moraga campus during the 2023 Fall term on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:40 - 11:30 am (3 workload units) and also includes assignments of

• PSYCH 310L-01 Lab: Monday from 3:20-6:20 pm (2.5 workload units)
• PSYCH 310L-02 Lab: Wednesday from 3:20-6:20 pm (2.5 workload units)

In addition to teaching, the instructor is expected to hold regular office hours (a minimum of two hours per week) in order to provide students with support outside of the classroom.

The successful candidate will hold an advanced degree in Psychology, and undergraduate teaching experience in psychology, neuroscience, or a closely related field. Candidates should have a successful record of teaching experience at the undergraduate level.

This position requires all coursework to be performed in the state of California.
