The Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University, we provide dental education to the next generation of professionals by offering hands-on education through innovative research, patient care, and service. Join other dental providers to improve the oral health of Georgia and beyond. The DCG was founded to provide the people of Georgia with quality dental care by educating students in dentistry. As a patient, you have the option to receive treatment in one of our three different practice models consisting of student clinics, resident care, or in the faculty practice. All dental treatments can be completed by the specialists in our facility. We also serve patients in more than 20 clinics across Georgia.

Job Summary
This position is critical course support for the Department of Restorative Sciences. Close interaction with faculty, admin, and students occurs on a daily basis to support a quality learning environment. The position is responsible in the development, organization, maintenance of course documentation, assessments, and schedules, under the guidance of department faculty.

Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to: Support
Directly supporting Restorative Sciences course directors in the DMD program, as assigned. Support organization the activities of courses to ensure completed work meets required time lines and standards of quality and quantity. Supports the day to day operations of Restorative Sciences D3 clinical courses. Support clinical and laboratory workflow for the D3 clinic effort, including the digital and dental implant clinical effort. Monitor supplies and equipment associated with digital and dental implant clinical effort. Establishes and maintains the schedule of clinical support and associated course activities, prioritizes tasks, and ensures that the course directors and faculty are aware of the important deadlines related to program activities, including managing calendars and appointments, composing correspondence/reports, manuals, preparing teaching material and meeting arrangements.
Student Course
Support tracking and analysis of student course progress, including didactic and clinical. Support maintenance of student progress and academic records in various systems. Track the ongoing activities of the courses. Responsible for data entry/scanning/storage of logs, manuals, and records. Have an extensive knowledge of Axium to monitor and maintain patient records, and perform chart audits. Clinical Referrals
Support and manage clinical referrals. Duties include but are not limited to: register, schedule, cancel, reschedule, confirm patients, retrieval of fax, creating accounts for patients, assisting with screening appointments with faculty members to help determine acceptance to the programs and assignment of students, establish/maintain communication and customer service to patients, their families and referring doctors. Monitor the patient pool, manage and track coordination of appointments for efficient clinical activities. Run reports to see total number of patients and status in the program. Manages Spreadsheets
Creates spreadsheets, including formulas to organize, display and summarize data. Prepare special reports for department management, college administration and other divisions of the University as requested or required. Other Duties

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent from a recognized state or federal accrediting organization.

Required Experience
A minimum of one year of office support experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a dental office or practice
Experience with Axium, Exam Soft, D2L, Excel and Word software
Advanced formal education beyond Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university in business or management

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Experience working in a University setting, Associate Degree from an accredited college or university in Business and experience with Exam Soft & D2L. Knowledge and experience with dentistry or dental academics.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
ABILITIES
Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented and ability to prioritize tasks. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Ability to work independently with only general supervision. Ability to compete work and to meet deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Axium, Exam Soft and D2L. Working Knowledge of DCG and BOR policies and procedures.

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days/M-F

Pay Grade: 7

Salary: Minimum $15.00/hour

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
